Who are we?

Able is an ethical AI-enhanced workforce platform that connects workers directly with businesses – fairly, affordably, and without bias. Founded in 2025, Able was created because traditional staffing agencies charge venues up to 50% in fees while workers often receive poor pay, no transparency, and limited rights. Able exists to change that, and was built with the worker in mind. We charge just 8% – the lowest in the market – and workers receive 100% of their pay within 24 hours. Our AI matching removes bias by not revealing a worker's age, gender, or nationality to hiring managers, and not asking hiring managers to rate freelancers with stars. Instead, matching is based on skills, proximity, and availability and we collect developmental feedback to help our users grow. Able is backed by Innovate UK, (Department for Business and Trade), Mayor of London, and private investors, and has validated product-market fit with over 500 workers and 48 venue partners in our community.

What do we do / What is our impact / Who do we support?

Able supports people into work – including those with zero experience, care leavers, young people, refugees, ex-offenders, and anyone facing barriers to traditional employment. Our platform enables: • Gig and shift-based work matching across hospitality, events, warehousing, logistics, and general labour • AI-assisted profile creation that helps workers articulate their skills, even if they've never written a CV • Video profiles that build trust between workers and employers without relying on star ratings (which we've removed for mental health reasons) • Trial shifts as an alternative to formal interviews – reducing anxiety and bias in hiring • Right-to-work verification built into the app • A reference system that supports people who don't have professional referees – Able itself acts as a reference of last resort • Ethical, same-day payment via Stripe Connect We're expanding into credentials verification to support regulated sectors like healthcare.

Who do we want to connect with?

We'd love to connect with: • Local employers, particularly SMEs and micro businesses in hospitality, events, logistics, warehousing, retail, administration, technology and facilities management • Connect to Work employment advisors and integration officers • Jobseekers, those returning to work, people looking for extra income • Schools, colleges, and career hubs supporting young people and school leavers • Community organisations working with refugees, displaced people, ex-offenders, care leavers, and people with SEND • Chambers of commerce and business networks across the Local London boroughs • Training providers offering upskilling and employability programmes

Why / What is our ask?

We're seeking: • Introductions to local employers who need flexible, affordable staffing – particularly SMEs who can't afford traditional agency fees • Referral partnerships with employment advisors, so they can signpost job seekers to register on Able as a free and supportive route to finding work • Connections to jobseekers, those returning to work, people looking for extra income • Visibility through the Work Connections website and Virtual Notice Board • Connections to youth employment networks and policy forums (such as the Youth Integration Network) where Able can contribute as a platform partner • Opportunities to present and demo Able at local business events, job fairs, and networking sessions
